Maur Hill-Mount Academy has always been a boarding school and educating students for over 150 years. Maur Hill was established in 1919 by the monks of St. Benedict’s Abbey to educate young men, and Mount St. Scholastica Academy was established in 1863 by the Benedictine Sisters to educate young women. The schools joined together in 2003 to unify their strengths and continue to provide the greatest benefit to the students.

As a boarding school, students come from across the US as well as many different countries. Students of all faiths and backgrounds are welcomed and do attend Maur Hill - Mount Academy. Students may begin their studies in the 9th grade or transfer in with credits into the 10th, 11th, or 12th grades.

A traditional college prep school with 98% of the student body entering University after graduation. Travel is to be scheduled in accordance with our school calendar and approved travel dates. Departures and arrivals to the airport and stations must take place between 9AM - 9PM for MH-MA staff transportation purposes.

Maur Hill-Mount Academy is located on a spacious 90 acre campus that contains 2 football fields, 2 soccer fields, 3 tennis courts, baseball field, and plenty of space for other fun activities. There are also 2 gymnasiums on campus with the primary gym being utilized for sports like basketball, volleyball, and baseball batting practice. The other gymnasium was recently renovated to become the students new workout center with a variety of weight and exercise equipment. That gym also has a space for the dance and cheerleading teams to practice.All buildings and activity areas are within steps of each other.
