Admitted Student Checklist - Boarding

Parents need to login to PowerSchool (just like you did for the application) and select forms in the left menu and then enrollment. A list of enrollment forms will appear. These must be completed and submitted prior to the start of school. Some forms will require document uploads: medical insurance card, immunizations, and sports physical. If you have any problems uploading documents, please email to the Admission Office and we can assist you. Parents will continue to use PowerSchool to check their students class schedule, grades, and all other academic items. Students will receive their own PowerSchool login the first day of class. 

In accordance with the Kansas Department of Health regulations, we require all students to provide immunization records before arriving on campus.

In addition to the Kansas Department of Health immunization requirements, all students age 16 and older must have a TB skin test. Please consult your physician if you have questions regarding immunizations requirements.

• Completed Residence Life Health Form
• Copy of your insurance card (front and back)
• International Students - Medical insurance is included in tuition and is required for all MH-MA international students. 2022–2023 Student Injury and Sickness Plan for MHMA

All boarding students, regardless of athletic participation, must provide documentation of a wellness checkup. A sports physical will meet this requirement. Any boarding student planning to participate in athletics must have a sports physical and students must use the KSHSAA sports physical form. We require a new wellness checkup or sports physical each year of attendance.

Invoices will be emailed to parents in July. Payment plans are available for our boarding families. The first tuition payment is due on August 1 for fall entry or on January 1 for spring entry. Parents will select a payment plan and form of payment with the school bursar.

Parents may set up a spending account for their children. Simply specify a weekly allowance amount on the New Student Enrollment Form. Don’t worry, you can make changes to this as needed! You will need to inform the residence director before making any adjustments to this amount. 

You may fund the account through our online payment system, or mail a check payable to Maur Hill - Mount Academy. 

We encourage families to subscribe to our school calendar. The school calendar includes academic breaks, athletic and school events, holidays, and other important school activities. You can print a version of the academic breaks from the school calendar.

Email your airport arrival information to the Admission Office. Our residence life staff makes transportation arrangements for all boarding students both to and from campus. If parents plan to accompany their child, we recommend a car rental. See our school calendar for important arrival/departure information and academic breaks. 

MH - MA can provide bedding and basic arrival items for students; however, most students prefer to decorate their room to fit their personalities. 

For bedding, dorm room, and bath items, we recommend DormCo. We will place all shipped orders in the student’s room before their arrival. 

Plan to purchase bedding for a twin XL size mattress. We also have a suggested packing list for our boarding students with essential and recommended school supplies and items that we do not allow. Students can also shop at the local Walmart located near our campus.
